Throughout the duration of the exhibition, over 1,000 cows and heifers from the eight main dairy breeds will parade in SwissExpo’s vast ring. Equipped with a giant screen and surrounded by two stands, each of which can hold 1,000 spectators, the competition is a real show where the atmosphere and emotions are at their peak.

In 2020, over 400 breeders from Switzerland and beyond presented their finest animals. Several came from European countries such as France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg and Spain to be assessed by judges of international renown.

INTERNATIONAL REPUTATION

Since being voted one of the top three dairy competitions in the world, the exhibition’s international renown has exploded. This is demonstrated by the international media coverage of the event and the increase in accreditation requests from foreign journalists and photographers, as well as the record crowds of international visitors who come from all over Europe as well as Canada, the United States, Russia, Japan and Taiwan. The competition is broadcast live on swiss-expo.com and was watched by 30,128 viewers from 38 countries during the 2020 edition.
